The wavecamp 2009
organised by the Drammen Flight club is another opportunity for
discovering gliders from very close. My attention was attracted this
time by a DG505 Self-launch glider.
This glider is really beautifull.

The engine is a Solo 2625-02 bi-cylinder - 2 stroke engine with liquid cooling. It delivers 64 Hp (47 kW) during take-off at 6500 rpm. The propeller is a 1,6 meter propeller. As for the ASH26E, the propeller is extended outside the fuselage by means of an electrical piston. The engine itself remains inside the fuselage.
