These last years, at many occasion I saw that glider manufacturer are designing the wheel system in a more robust way than in the past. Amortisation iand hydraulic wheel brake are now very common.

The LAK 20 Turbo ...

During the Wavecamp 2009 in Norway, a LAK 20 Turbo was present. This is a very impressive glider as it has a wing span of about 26 meters. Some pilots are naming it the "Nimbus 5DT". It is clearly a strong competitor to the Nimbus 4DT. The LAK-20 with a wingspan of 26 meters has a best gliding ratio above the 60 !

A lot of room is necessary for handling such a big glider.
